Veterans Day Commemoration Event

We want YOU! to be part of our special Veterans commemoration event on Nov. 4 as the Moody Museum celebrates the hundredth anniversary of the end of World War I. The museum will be open from 2-5 p.m. for tours. At 3 PM, visitors will gather on the lawn (weather permitting) for the raising of the flag, followed by the national anthem and guest speaker (TBA). Following the program, guests will be invited to enjoy refreshments, and museum tours will resume. Dan Moody’s military photos will be on display alongside shadow boxes and uniforms belonging to Taylor veterans of WWI and other conflicts.

Veterans shadow boxes are on display throughout the downstairs area of the museum during the afternoon ceremonies honoring local veterans. The event is held the Sunday before Veterans Day each year.
